About Our Chapter Home Office Location Office Staff Board of Directors Speaker's Bureau Email What's New Upcoming Events Press Releases Health & Safety Services Community Course Schedules Course Description Workplace Safety Programs Safety Tips Instructors Corner For Authorized Providers Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) Products for Sale Emergency Services About Emergency Services Class Schedules How You Can Help Financial Donations Volunteer Internships Links Links		Registration and Cancellation Policy   General Information: Location: Piedmont Plaza                                                                        Phone: (864) 229-3102 Address: 1346 Bypass 72 NE, Greenwood, SC  29649 Hours: 8:30 – 4:30 PM - Monday – Friday Registration Information:   Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for all Health and Safety classes.  Payment will be accepted at the Red Cross office during normal business hours.  Money orders, cashier’s checks, personal checks and cash are accepted.    Transfer/Refund Policy:    Course fees are non-refundable unless the Red Cross cancels the class.  One-time transfers to another course will be accepted with five (5) working days notice prior to the beginning of the class.  If you fail to notify us, you will not be transferred to another class.  Exceptions must be requested in writing to the Health and Safety Director.  A minimum of four students is required in order for a class to be conducted.    Certification:    American Red Cross training programs give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.  Successful course completion requires full participation in classroom and skill sessions, as well as successful performance in skill and knowledge evaluations.  Wear comfortable clothing to class; you will be working on the floor during skill sessions.    Due to the nature of the skills required for these programs, you will be participating in strenuous activities such as performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the floor.  If you have a medical condition that may prevent you from taking part in a skill session, or if you have any questions about your ability to participate fully in this course, discuss them with your health care provider before you start the course.    Late Arrivals:    Students must arrive to class on time.  The instructor has the choice of whether to permit the individual into the class depending on the length of time that has passed.  Course fees will not be refunded, nor will you be transferred to another class if you are late.
